Ibiza

Eivissa (Ibiza Town), the island’s capital, is Ibiza’s smallest municipality by area, at around 11 km², and its most populous. It is a year-round town, with shops, the hospital, the port and the main services close at hand.

Old town and harbour

Dalt Vila, the fortified upper town, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, as part of “Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture”. Below it, La Marina and the port connect Ibiza with Formentera and the mainland. The Passeig de Vara de Rey marks the centre of the modern town.

Neighbourhoods

Across the harbour, Marina Botafoch and Talamanca look back towards Dalt Vila and have a sheltered beach. Ses Figueretes and Los Molinos run along the coast south of the centre, and part of Platja d’en Bossa (Playa d’en Bossa) lies within the municipality.
