San Juan de Labritja

Sant Joan de Labritja (San Juan de Labritja) covers the north of Ibiza, over some 121 km². It is the island’s least populated municipality and almost entirely rural, with homes scattered across the countryside among wooded hills, terraced fields and an indented coastline. It suits those looking for peace and nature.

Villages

The municipality has four parishes: Sant Joan de Labritja, a small village around its church; Sant Miquel de Balansat (San Miguel), the most populous; Sant Llorenç de Balàfia (San Lorenzo), inland; and Sant Vicent de sa Cala (San Vicente), on the north-east coast.

The coast

The north coast alternates between coves and small harbours: Portinatx, Cala de Sant Vicent (Cala San Vicente), Port de Sant Miquel (Puerto de San Miguel), Benirràs and Cala Xarraca. The coastline is generally more unspoilt than in the south of the island.
